Doggies with dyed ears

Okay, these are not great pictures -- but they're the best I could do.  One day at the post office I noticed these pooches in a car.  Their owner had them dressed in cute little sweaters, but WHAT WAS SHE THINKING with  the dyed ears? 

Interesting arrangement

I passed by this setup this morning and had to turn the car around and go take a photo -- I love the color, and it's just an interesting arrangement.

Liberty Hill Presbyterian Church

The history of Liberty Hill Presbyterian Church begins with a few local residents who attended worship services in the Old School House, Tolerant Chapel and Beaver Creek Presbyterian Church. In 1851, this small but dedicated group organized into the Liberty Hill Presbyterian Church. With an initial membership of ten men and sixteen women, the church grew and erected the first church building the following year.

Membership steadily increased and a new, larger church building was erected in 1880 from timbers salvaged from the original structure. The white clapboard structure still stands today and is an awe-inspiring environment for worship and praise.

Liberty Hill Country Store

I have not been in this store YET.  Eventually, I'll catch it open and will be able to go in and check it out.  It's a quaint building, and I am intrigued.

Liberty Hill Post Office

The historians say it was built around 1900.  It's a lovely building.  I was shopping one day and standing in line to pay out.  The man in front of me was talking and he said he has a Heath Springs address at the lake, and "we really want rural mail delivery".  According to him, in order to have rural mail delivery, the Postal Service will close the Liberty Hill Post Office, and that of course none of the citizens around there want to give up their post office.  I don't blame them.  It would be a shame to close this building and delete the services of a post office for the surrounding area.

OK -- I know you can't tell, but there's a frog motif on the top of the chimes.  It's really cute.

Both their pets are buried out here, and adding the bench and birdbath has made it a beautiful area, in my opinion.
