My son took this picture last week -- the snow was beautiful.  And some of it is still there!!!

A friend gave me this little flower arrangement.  Don't you just love the container?

Birdhouse

My brother bought daddy this birdhouse as a gift.  Daddy loved attracting birds to the yard.

Three days after the snow/ice

and there's still a lot of the white stuff around.  It's so bright outside it hurts my eyes.

Soon there will be blooms here!!

King Haigler

King Haigler was a Catawba Indian who befriended early settlers in the area.  This sculpture is on a wall in the downtown area.

It's a whiteout!

Have you ever noticed the graffiti on train cars as they speed past?  I believe that this "art" qualifies as vandalism, but some of it is beautiful.  This is just one example I've seen.  Admittedly, there are better examples, but I couldn't get a photo of them.

Piano

Did you ever see the inside of a piano?  Companies include a "Wall of Fame" on the inside, any awards they've won will be imprinted on the inside of the piano.  I find that fascinating!!!!  And beautiful.

A Pic a Day

I want to focus on my love of photography -- and in today's digital world, why not?  My plan is to post a photo a day -- sometimes with comments, sometimes the photo speaks for itself.  It's a day in the life of Betty!!!

This house was still decorated this morning.  It's one of my favorite houses, and I love the seasonal decorations, so I'm sure you'll see other photos from this site.
